Direct from interviewing Dame Katherine Grainger, the incoming Chair of UK Sport on the Today Programme, BBC Sports editor Dan Roan spoke at theProfileClub breakfast meeting held at Victor’s in Hale.
Dan’s career has seen him report on some of the major crisis’ in sport including corruption at FIFA and drug scandals in cycling and athletics. He is now the first to interview Grainger since her appointment to one of the most powerful roles in British sport, the former Olympic rower warned that the risk of a tougher financial future was a major challenge as 11 sports press for huge changes to the way sport is funded. Dan hot footed it straight from the Today Programmes studio to theProfileClub breakfast where he talked about everything from interviewing Lance Armstrong to the challenges faced by English Football, who he would most like to interview and his biggest fears!
