The Managing Director of Blackstone Solicitors has been shortlisted from among the brightest and best of the legal profession for the Law Society of England and Wales’ Excellence Awards.  Emma Nawaz has been shortlisted in the category ‘Woman Lawyer of the Year’.

Emma established Blackstone Solicitors in 2010 with just herself and a secretary initially opening an office in Hale.  The firm has since grown to 30 staff and earlier this year opened an office in Mayfair.  Emma is a respected litigation lawyer who has gained notoriety for her defence of Iranian clients against the high street banks.

The Law Society’s annual awards event recognises the commitment, enthusiasm, and passion that solicitors dedicate to serving their clients which underpins the UKs world-renowned legal system.

Commenting on the shortlist Emma said, “I am thrilled to be shortlisted for these prestigious awards and to be recognised alongside some respected colleagues in the legal profession.  I have worked hard to build Blackstone Solicitors and I am extremely proud of our achievements to date”.

The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on 19th October at the Hilton Park Lane Hotel, London.
